A central vacuum system's actual cost is determined by three factors:
- The square footage and layout of your home. This will give you an idea of the number of inlets needed for coverage as well as the amount of pipe and fittings used in installation.
- Choice of model. Location of the vacuum and the manner in which the pipe is run can almost determine your model. Manufacturers will recommend a particular model based on square footage only but do not take into consideration the manner in which the pipe is run.
- Accessory kit. Bare or carpeted floors determine which type of kit is best for your home. Turbine or electric kits are available.
Choosing the right type of central vacuum is most important. The filtration method used determines the amount of maintenance required to maintain the vacuum's suction power. When a vacuum sucks air in it has to blow air out. Whatever is in between is the type of filtration in use. All types of filtration decrease the suction power of the vacuum with normal use. Recovering this lost suction power should be clean, easy and cost effective. The different types of filtration currently used are many and everyone claims to have the best. We like to explain the advantages of the filtration systems we offer and the reasons why we think they are more effective.

The two types we recommend are filtered cyclonic and disposable bag.
Filtered Cyclonic
Cyclovac's filtered cyclonic models are much easier to maintain than traditional cyclonic vacuums. No longer will you have to reach up and into the vacuum canister to clean the lint screen and get dirty in the process. Cyclovac's models have a sleeve filter that extends into the dirt canister which makes maintenance much easier. Each model comes with two filters so they can be easily rotated when the canister is emptied. These filters are vacuumed cleaned or are machine washable and reusable. The advantage of this type of filtration is that it requires no additional purchases to maintain.
Disposable Bag
Cyclovac's large capacity bags provide excellent filtration properties. Their exclusive triple layer electrostatically charged micro fibers capture 99.4% of dust allergens. The new technology in the electrostatic filter bags has greatly improved compared to the old style paper bags. No matter the volume of dust inside, it ensures constant maximum vacuum power. The advantage of this type of filtration is that there is no maintenance. You just need to change the bag.
ALL central vacuums should be exhausted outside, keeping your home free of re-circulated dust, allergens, mold and bacteria.
The motors used in Cyclovac's central vacuums are made in the U.S.A. by Electro Motors LLC, in Piney Flats, Tennessee. All Cyclovac's vacuums are of steel construction and have lifetime warranties.
We hope you take advantage of the superior quality, features, and power available from Cyclovac!
